What is one block South of Central Avenue, (on 1st Street South) and eight blocks west of 41? I’ll give you a hint: This place has the heart of Jesus and uses His hands to do His work. The more I look at this church, the brighter my smile becomes.
Matthew 25: 37–40 is the verse motivating them to see the hungry, feed them and give drink. First United Methodist Church has so many ministries going, I can only be brief about them.

They have a Card Ministry and a Hooks, Hoops & Needles Ministry headed by Gwen Pleban, firstname.lastname@example.org that makes exquisite items to lift the heads and hearts of the suffering. They welcome all to help.
UMW is the largest woman’s organization…in the world.

FUMC hosts Scout Troop 165 with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Methodist Day School offers preschool classes for students 2 years old through 5 years old. Our program is set up so that each year students continue to build on the learning blocks of the previous year until reaching Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten, which is a government-funded program to help prepare students for kindergarten.
